Smashing Pumpkins 4/12/94 is a live album by The Smashing Pumpkins released exclusively as a cassette through Madame ZuZu's that came with two candles made in collaboration with Lola James Harper. The cassette documents the April 12, 1994 performance, while the two candles – "Mais Street" and "Purple Haze" – were catered to the theme of Siamese Dream. It was released on November 24, 2023[1] as part of the broader celebrations for the 30th anniversary of Siamese Dream.[2]

The package is absent of any artwork. The title Smashing Pumpkins 4/12/94 is from the cassette itself, while the package bore the name Smashing Pumpkins × Lola James Harper. Only 500 units were produced.

The package included a personal letter from Billy Corgan that read,

Candles[edit | edit source]

Corgan and fragrance master Rami Mekdachi connected when sharing discussions about Siamese Dream. Through this conversations, they had "captured the dream and felt this iconic record warranted not one but two incredibly unique scents."[2]

From the Madame ZuZu's website:[2]

  • "Mais Street" – Encapsulates the reality, the grit, and the relentless hard work of that era. With notes of subterranean rehearsal spaces, incense, aged wood, and aspiration.
  • "Purple Fuzz" – An olfactory journey into a beautiful daydream, a fragrance that embodies the ethereal spirit and escape of the album's sensual duality.
