"PIGS" is a 2023 single by alternative metal band We Are PIGS that was co-written and co-produced by Billy Corgan and engineered by Bjorn Thorsrud. The song dates back to 2018 and was completed and released in tribute to Thorsrud, who passed in 2021.[1]

We Are PIGS is headed by South African producer and songwriter Esjay Jones. The band was formed as a self-described "nu-metal revival" project that collaborated with other high-profile artists dating back to April 2020. Jones first started writing the song in 2018 when she was living in South Africa and playing with a different band. The guitarist of that band had been a finalist in a Smashing Pumpkins cover song contest and was flown to Chicago. As Jones told Revolver, "There [the guitarist] met our dear and late friend Bjorn Thorsrud, who became the catalyst for Billy adding his genius to and finally finishing this song."[1]
