Mike "Cuz" Rubano is a technician and close friend of Billy Corgan who accompanied The Smashing Pumpkins and recorded their live shows and rehearsals from 1988 to 1991. He was known to the band as "Cuz".[1] He is reported to have been Corgan's original guitar amplifier technician, and was in charge of inventorying all of the gear.[2][better source needed] Many of the recordings from these early years were released in 2022 as The Rubano Tapes Vol. 1 and The Rubano Tapes Vol. 2.
Rubano was also friends with Kerry Brown,[3] and co-served as guitar and amplifier technician for their debut album, Sorry! (1994), along with Bob English.[4]
