The May 31, 1995 – Chicago Recording Company session produced a rough mix of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, dubbed Sequence Four. In other words, this tape was basically what Mellon Collie sounded like as of May 31st. The songs vary in completion– while "Here Is No Why" is the same take featured on the final album (save for a different vocal take), some songs were rerecorded entirely. Notably, both "Galapogos" and "To Forgive" featured solos that were omitted from the final versions.

Recordings of the session have circulated around on a bootleg titled Sequence IV, albeit with significant noise reduction.
