September 16, 2023 was the wedding of Billy Corgan and Chloe Corgan. It took place exactly one year and six days after Billy Corgan proposed on Mendel's 30th birthday at the same location. "Our home, a timeless sanctuary nestled by the lake, had always been the heart of our love story; our family," Chloe told Vogue. that "it is the very place where we had celebrated my 30th, and where our two precious children had taken their first breaths—yes, we had home births!"[1]
At 3:30 PM, the bride walked down the aisle to Mike Garson's piano. The Chicago mayor was present and gave opening remarks before Billy and Chloe read their vows. "The ceremony was beautiful, regal, simple but tasteful," Chloe said. "We were elated to finally take this step after 11 years of being together and with our two children—Augustus Juppiter and Philomena Clementine—present, as well as so many dear friends and family." Harpist Janelle Lake performed while the newly weds took photos and the guests retreated for drinks and hors d'oeuvres.[1]
During the cocktail hour, speeches were given by Jimmy Chamberlin, Chloe's father, along with other family and friends. Music was provided by jazz musician Joel Paterson during dinner. Afterwards, Frank Catalano and Garson played several standards, eventually joined by Chamberlin. Corgan then performed his brief set.[1]

Chloe: Mr. William Patrick Corgan. In the past 11 years you have released 5 Smashing Pumpkins Albums, 2 solo records, 11 tours, 3 wrestling companies, 2 kids and a restaurant. You are an incredible man, impatient, hot headed and times, at times always right. .. Just kidding. You make our family feel safe, loved, and whole. Your ability to navigate difficult situations, never wasting time, and your confidence and strength to create yet be vulnerable never ceases to amaze me. These are traits that are so admirable.When you push yourself to do things that seem inhuman it only encourages me to do far more than I could have ever imagined. How lucky am I to be able to grow into the world with you by my side. When I imagine a partnership, I think that’s what we have. And I can only hope that others can experience this too in their lifetimes. Besides all of your accomplishments, and fancy things you get to do. I am most proud of you. A man who never believed he could be loved, have a family, or feel safe. A man who overcame so many hurdles yet still chose to chart a path of integrity. It has been a battle to be you everyday. Ever since you were a young boy. And I’m sorry. What I am most proud of, is your ability to overcome your biggest fear. And come to peace with the one thing you’ve always wanted. A home, stability, a family and love all around. To breathe in your safe haven and not believe it can be gone in an instant. You can breathe now. You will always be bombarded by me and the ones you love. The large family you have married into are your biggest cheerleaders. Look around. You are deeply loved. And I will always be here to love you. Thank you for choosing me. I walk this earth with a full heart knowing you are by my side.
