BC: Heh heh heh heh heh heh. This is a song from the...I guess what would the word be? Disasterous...uh...unfortunate...misguided...uh...ill-fated Zwan band. For those of you who weren’t here yesterday, we’ve been working on putting together the box set for Zwan. As I like to joke, thank you to the 12 people who bought that record. Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh. I mean, look at the upside, that record caused me to threaten to kill multiple people. Heh heh heh heh heh heh. I was searching for something Zwan related the other day –- this is the unfortunate part of a public life –- I was looking for a song and then you get the searches and it said “Zwan: Billy Corgan pretends to be happy.” Something like that. I thought, that’s not -– that’s not actually, not that inaccurate. Here’s a song from Zwan called The Empty Sea.

BC: [cuts in] ...words, so these are songs that never existed, at least in my own mind. Sort of existed, somewhere in there. Somewhere between a cover and an interpretation, I suppose. And this song is called El-A-Noy, E-L-dash-A-dash-N-O-Y. And certainly singing this song some 20 years later after I put it together, it hits home. This being the number one or number two wealth flight state in America, as people flee this state in droves, our lovely state of Illinois. Who’s from here? Here we are in the dead of winter, right? Number one song –- number one question: Why? Right? Heh heh heh heh heh, heh, the food’s not that good, heh heh heh. Heh heh, well, it is here, but um, speaking overall. So this is El-A-Noy.
