- The venue did not have a piano for Billy to use, so on some songs he used a violin

Endless Summer
BC: A few things before I good--a few things before I say goodbye. (crowd disapproves) Oh yeah. One man, one guitar, that's all I am: one man, one guitar. I can't compete, I can't compete with the waiters, ordering drinks and the people ordering schnitzel. And the kid crying over here, I can't compete, I'm just one man with one guitar. I started a rock band...I started the Smashing Pumpkins in 1987. In the beginning, we were a goth band, playing our little goth songs, and always in the back in Chicago, some fucking guy talking and talking and talking and he wouldn't shut the fuck up. So we got Marshall stacks and we started playing really loud. And we could see the guy talking but now we couldn't hear him. So to those people talking, thank you for taking me back to my roots. I don't know how to say "shut the fuck up" in Romanian, so I just play the guitar. So to the old school Smashing Pumpkins fans, thank you very much, thank you, god bless you. And to those people--which might include the old school Smashing Pumpkins fans--those this beer hall, I did not choose this mall, I did not choose this atmosphere, I just chose to play music.
