"Theme from Shaft" is a song by Isaac Hayes that was used as the live intro music for The Smashing Pumpkins on June 10th, 1992. The song was originally written by Hayes for the 1971 film Shaft, for which Hayes composed the score and wrote three songs for the soundtrack.
