> Ava Adore
(BC after Jimmy solo: Ow! Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin on the drums! (long evil laugh), oh Jimmy.)
Iha: Thank you. Thank you so much, how are you guys doin’? Indianapolis, how the hell are you doing? Thank you so much for coming out to the show, this is uh, the last night of a –- a seven week tour. We've been doing it with, uh, Interpol and Rival Sons, we’d like to thank them a lot. They are very nice guys, awesome guys. And now, uh...I don’t know, what do you guys wanna hear? (crowd screaming) We can’t do that acoustically, sorry. We'll do another song, we got.... What do you think?
BC: James?
Iha: Yes?
BC: First off, before we get back to the idea of music....
Iha: This is a rowdy crowd.
BC: Like to thank the Rival Sons and the Interpols.
Iha: Rival Son and Interpol.
BC: Fine young lads.
Iha: They're pretty cool, they're pretty bitchin'.
BC: Bright, bright futures. It’s so nice to be with you tonight on the last night of our World is a Vampire tour. We started in Mexico City and we went to Australia! And now we’ve toured America. We’ve had wrestlers...we’ve had...space cowboys.
Iha: Yes. Our next gig will be on the pyramids of Egypt. It’s an incredible show.
BC: We've had rock operas, we have had, um, well, it doesn’t matter. We’re here with you tonight. We’re so blessed to be with you, playing with these great bands. Thank you to the great fans of Indianapolis, the area here. Supporting us for, well, good 30...30 some years, right?
Iha: Oh my god.
BC: Heck, James, when we started...
Iha: Yes?
BC: ...Larry Bird was still playing in the NBA, that’s how long ago we started.
Iha: Super long time ago. I gotta...
BC: In fact, James...
Iha: ...I gotta take a nap.
BC: ...James?
Iha: Yes?
BC: This is probably not the place to admit this to you...
Iha: Alright...
BC: ...it’s a little awkward...
Iha: ...let’s do it.
BC: ...but uh, I feel safe, safe space, right?
Iha: I don’t give a fuck.
BC: Our song Thirty-three was named for Larry Bird, I’ll admit it now.
Iha: Hoof!
BC: Total bullshit but it sounds good, doesn't it? I named it for our lord and savior Jesus Christ, okay, uh, heh heh heh. That’s a true story. Anyway, we’d like to dedicate this song to you. It’s a song we wrote back in 1994.
Iha: Oh my god.
BC: And no, it is not named after a condiment! It’s named after a particular phase of the day. Condiments are all the rage right now, James, did you know that, condiment songs are all the rage?
Iha: Alright, let’s–-
BC: If only we could ketchup.
Iha: We're gonna get--
BC: Cut the mustard.
Iha: We’re gonna get right back to music. I know you came here for music, not comedy.
BC: It’s a little song we dedicate to everyone here, especially all you people way in the back, thank you so much, way people way in the back [sic], we love you! You make us proud, thank you. This is a little song we wrote back in 1994, this is called Tonight, Tonight.
