Banter[edit | edit source]

Atum Intro
Empires
(BC before Jeff outro solo: Minneapolis/St. Paul!)
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Iha: Hello, Twin Cities. Thank you so much. We are the Smashing Pumpkins.
Today
We Only Come Out at Night (acoustic)
Cyr
Once in a Lifetime
Solara
Eye
(BC after 2nd chorus: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the rock show. We are so pleased and touched you are with us tonight. Words do not suffice but we can only say thank you, thank you, thank you.)
(BC during outro singalong: Sing it with us. Beautiful, all the way in the back! Last time, last time!)
Ava Adore
(BC after Jimmy solo: Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin on the drums. Ow! Heh heh heh heh, ow!)
Iha: How are you guys doin’? Guys doin’ alright? Thumbs up.
BC: James.
Iha: Yes?
BC: What I really wanna know....
Are You Gonna Go My Way (acoustic) (tease - 2x through riff)
Iha: Are you gonna go my way?
BC: How you feelin’ tonight, James? How you feelin’ tonight?
Iha: I’m alright, uh...I’m a little under the weather, but I’m –- I’m [unintelligible word].
BC: You’re under the weather?!
Iha: Yes, but uh--
BC: I did not know that.
Iha: I’m just trying to rock through, rock through the night.
BC: That’s shocking to me because when we’re -– when we were in our pre-show teepee meditating, you didn’t say anything. Trooper.
Iha: Every band has it, the uh...every show.
BC: How are you guys doin’ tonight? Rock City up here, Rock City right now. Yesterday, it was 70 degrees. Today it’s minus 70 degrees.
Iha: It’s so cold here. Why’s –- cold, colder than Chicago.
BC: Chicago: tropical wonderland. Heh heh heh heh.
Iha: Is there a rivalry between Minnesota and Illinois?
BC: Heh heh. Heh heh heh, careful. Anyway. I love this part of the show because we get to stop for a second and say thank you for 34 years of the Smashing Pumpkins. It’s an amazing thing. We are here because of you. You, you you, thank you. And the part I love about this show business segment is we get to say thank you with a song. So this song is dedicated to everyone here, it’s a little song we like to call Tonight, Tonight.
Tonight, Tonight (Billy/Iha acoustic)
Stand Inside Your Love
I of the Mourning
Iha: Thank you so much. I’d like to introduce the band. On vocals, Ms. Katie Cole. Katie Cole. On the bass (pronounced like the fish) guitar, all the way from Manchester, England, Mr. Jack Bates. He’s a good man. All the way from Hollywood, California, Mr. Jeff Schroeder. Wanna bust out a riff, Jeff? Not tonight, not tonight. On the drums, Mr. Jimmyyyy Chamberlin! Lead vocals, hot guitar, Mr. Billyyyyy Corgan!
Calling Dr. Love (tease - Billy)
Iha: AC/DC. Alright, let’s rock the shit out of Minneapolis!
BC: No, it’s –- that’s Kiss.
Iha: Oh, goddammit.
BC: You are sick!
Iha: Wait a second--
BC: Come on, Dr. Love. Gimme a little Dr. Love.
Calling Dr. Love (tease - Billy & Jimmy)
Iha: This is one of Kiss’s big ones but I’m unfamiliar with the vocal.
BC: (singing) I need your love, baby, oh so bad. You’re not the only one I’ve ever had.
Iha: What do you wanna hear, Cherub Rock, or you wanna hear Kiss?
Cherub Rock
> Stranglehold (tease - during Billy’s transition solo)
> Zero
> Love Gun (tease)
1979
Beguiled
Silverfuck
(BC immediately after lyrics finish: Thank you very much! Thank you!)
Iha: Thank you so much. Have a good night. Get home safe, thank you.
