BC: One of the hottest Smashing Pumpkins shows in our short and brief 34 year history.
Iha: It was a hundred and thirty-seven degrees Fahrenheit at T.T. and the Bears.
BC: It was unbelievable.
Iha: If you –- if you’re familiar with that fine Boston venue, legendary.
BC: ‘Course back then, the Cubs couldn’t win, the Red Sox, and now we’re all winners, (laughing) thanks to Theo Epstein. But just like me, he loves ‘em and he leaves ‘em.
Iha: A good general manager.
BC: He got the Red Sox to the top and then he left and then he went to the Cubs and he got us to the top and then he left.
Iha: We’re from Chicago, that’s why...we’re saying this. You understand the pain.
BC: Theo Epstein not from Chicago.
(brief moment of silence, then Billy and Iha speak simultaneously)
BC: Haha, hey, listen, you guys are great tonight, thank you so much.
Iha: We -– we can’t get into Boston sports, but we [2-3 unintelligible words].
BC: This is probably my favorite part of the show because I get to stop for a second and thank everyone here for supporting this incredible tour: Poppy, Jane’s Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins. What an incredible bill. But it wouldn’t be possible without you, we never lose sight of that.
