Banter[edit | edit source]
BC: Good afternoon.
Iha: Dank you.
BC: We have come from America to rock you. That's America with three K’s.
> Bury Me
Iha: Thank you, thank you. Dank you, dank you, we'd like to dedicate the set to all the men in the audience today. Heh, to all the men in the audience, we dedicate our set, I said.
D’arcy: Can anyone understand what he's saying, I don't understand what he's saying. What are you saying?!
Iha: A flower for you.
BC: So anyway, I was backstage with Nuno from Extreme. No, listen, this is a really good story. And Nuno was giving me a backrub -- I was really tense before the show -- and he started to slip his hand down my pants and I said, “Wait, Nuno, get the funk out.”
(feedback intro to Tristessa begins)
Iha: Ha! But seriously....
> Window Paine
Iha: Dank you, dank you! We apologize, we are having technical difficulties because we are from America and we have these sort of problems in America all the time.
Country Death Song (tease)
BC: (singing) I once was a little boy. And I liked other little boys. Then I learned how to suck some dick. From a boy named Slippery Rick. He took me in his confidence. And then he taught me how to dance. And then we listened to, (speaking) um, Men Without Hats...and everything was groovy. Thank you.
(tease ends with Iha shredding)
Iha: Guitar solo time!
BC: Oh, you're just trying to be like Nuno. He saw Nuno yesterday and this is what happened.
I Am One
Iha: Dank you, dank you again.
BC: Well, thanks for coming to the show, man.
Iha: Dank you.
BC: You're really beautiful and...thanks for all this acid and mushrooms and pot.
D’arcy: No, no no no no, thanks for staying. Thanks for not leaving.
BC: You're all invited back for some drugs after the show, there's some passes for you on the side, you're all our friends....
Iha: Anyone into Satan worshipping and sodomy, backstage, ask for the Pumpkins.
BC: That's right, man. Jesus is here. He doesn't want to hurt you.
(Siva intro begins)
BC immediately before Siva proper begins: Blast off!!
(BC alt lyrics/banter after guitar solo: I loved you. I have always loved you. I didn’t want to...but I do. Ooh, I love you. I wa-want you. And I can’t have you. And I don’t wanna change. I gave you everything. And I gave you everything. You’re a fuckin’ bitch! And you’re a fuckin’ whore! But that’s alright, ‘cause I love whores. And bitches too. I’ll take you anytime. Yeah, rock and roll.)
Iha: Dank you vor da vees.
BC: Like to play a song about being in love, taking drugs and um, being in love with your mother. Killing your parents and fucking your dog and um, going to school like a good child. This is called Amazo Number 1 -– oh yeah, fuck you too, man. Yeah, no, wait, yeah, (laughing) yeah!
Iha: Goddamn it.
BC: ...we just like to lure you into that trap of thinking we hate you, but....
Iha: Goddamn it.
BC: I could be home right now watching TV, so be nice to me.
Iha: We're kidding, we're kidding! We’re kidding.
