The April 6, 1992 show saw the band opening up for Guns N' Roses. Unfortunately, the crowd was not receptive to The Smashing Pumpkins and actively booed them throughout their roughly 45-minute set. Billy Corgan managed to calm the crowd at one point, only to rile them up even more by saying "the only reason you're so mad at me is you're all living on stolen land." Someone in an upper deck above the stage then threw a quarter that hit drummer Jimmy Chamberlin in the head.[1] The band later referenced this event in their banter the same venue during the Infinite Sadness tour on November 23, 1996. Corgan mentioned his remark about stolen land at a show in Reno in 2010.
Pro-video exists of the Guns N' Roses set, so it is possible that The Smashing Pumpkins were filmed as well.
