Schwa Productions was a recording studio in Chicago, and is where The Smashing Pumpkins' first demo tape was recorded. The owner was Paul Chabala, who was engineer for the self-titled demo album. He was also a regular sound assistant at the Avalon Niteclub, where the Pumpkins frequently performed at in their early days. In the banter of the August 10, 1988 performance – the first with bassist D'arcy WretzkyBilly Corgan can be heard thanking Chabala. It was at this show that the two met.

The studio existed at the North Lincoln Ave location for about three years.
