"O Tannenbaum" is a 19th century Christmas carol with lyrics by Ernst Anschütz. Billy Corgan covered it at a Christmas-themed shows of December 2021, notably the December 22, 2022 live stream performance.
Lyrically, the song has various versions based on how loosely they are translated from the original German song. Corgan's version appears to combine loose English translations (i.e. use of "Oh Tannenbaum")[1] with modern-day English variations.[2][3]
