Light Into Dark is a 1989 compilation album featuring various Chicago-area acts, including The Smashing Pumpkins. It was the band's first commercial release under a record label, as well as their first appearance on vinyl format. It was the only official release of "Sun" and "My Dahlia" until the 2012 reissue of Pisces Iscariot. The version of "Sun" from The Smashing Pumpkins demo album is a different mix. Other bands featured on the compilation include Sevenletters, Ghost Swami, Prince Of Priesthood, Gold September and Poster Children.
