Chicago Recording Company, or CRC, is a recording studio in Chicago, Illinois, founded in 1975.[1] Boasting twelve studios, CRC is the largest recording company in the midwest, and the largest independent studio in the country.[2] For many years it served as the go-to studio for The Smashing Pumpkins, and was also used for the recording of Zwan's Mary Star of the Sea.

Other famous artists that have recorded here include Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Liz Phair, Coldplay and Rihanna.

The East Ohio Street studio was demolished on January 15, 2024.[3] Two post-production centers are still standing and in operation, however.
