The Smashing Pumpkins tour chronology

The 20th Anniversary tour took place in the mainland United States in late summer through winter 2008. Billy Corgan has stated it was a "very contentious time", as evidenced by many shows resulting in the crowd "throwing things at us, booing as we played 25 minute versions of Pink Floyd songs."[1] Jimmy Chamberlin referred to the tour as "20 years of sadness", which some fans misconstrued as being a tour dedicated to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, which may have further angered some attendees.[1] Nonetheless, Corgan remembers the tour fondly,[1] which included several two-night run shows at select cities with unique setlists, and with a number of special guests including Corgan's own family.
