The 9:30 Club (originally named Nightclub 9:30, also known simply as the 9:30) is a nightclub and concert venue in Washington, D.C. In 2018 the 9:30 Club was named one of the 10 best live music venues in America by Rolling Stone, and in 2019 the club was named "Venue of the Decade" by VenuesNow.[1][2] The club was originally located at 930 F Street NW until 1996 when it was moved to its current home at 815 V Street NW. The opening date at the new location was the January 5, 1996 performance by The Smashing Pumpkins. 9:30 Club also hosted the Zeitgeist record release party on July 10, 2007, which was depicted in the If All Goes Wrong documentary.
Before coming the 9:30 Club, the current building was known as the WUST Music Hall, which the Pumpkins also performed at twice during a two-night run on November 20–21, 1993.
