BC: Columbus, hello! Thank you so much for being here with us tonight. How’s the sound out there? That’s good ‘cause it sounds like dog shit up here, heh heh.
Jeff: Come on!
BC: Cat shit, dog shit. But we’re professionals, heh heh heh heh heh, allegedly. Anyway...how you doin’ over there? So we’re uh, we’re starting out this evening with the Ocenia album, Oceania, how do you say that? Oceania.
Jeff: The OC: Oceania.
BC: Oceania album, our new album. And then we get around to playing a few of those classics. If I feel like it. You know sometimes when you get a reputation, you don’t deserve it, you know, it’s kind of unfair. But I, heh, I deserve that reputation, heh heh. But I do feel like playing tonight, I do. You know, we’re staying in Columbus tomorrow.
Jeff: What should we do?
BC: So that means we can party, we can rock hard all night.
Jeff: Tonight, all night, all night. All night, baby.
BC: We just got a uh, an e-mail from the governor, no curfew, all night, just play all night. Amazing, coolest governor ever. So anyway, so this is Oceania, the title track from our new album called (laughing) Oceania.

BC: Thank you, thank you so much. You havin’ a good time? Alriiight. Now Jeff...I don’t know how much you know about college football.
Jeff: Not much.
BC: Did you know...that this year the Ohio State Buckeyes were undefeated?
Jeff: I - yeah, I did hear that, I did hear that.
Nicole: I know something about it.
Jeff: That’s pretty fuckin’ - that means they’re in...
BC: But.
Jeff: That means they’re in the, like the Super Bowl or whatever, right?
BC: Well....
Jeff: The Rose Bowl, I don’t know.
BC: They can’t - it’s complicated, you see. Even though they were undefeated, they’re not number one. In fact, they’re not even number 21 because they got - they got like the hand in the cookie jar stuff. They got in trouble. Have you ever gotten in trouble?
Jeff: Not like that.
BC: Heh, I have. Anyway, congratulations you Buckeye fans. Our production manager, Chris Gratton, is a Buckeyes fan, so we have to hear about the Buckeyes all the time.
Nicole: And he told me to wear red tonight for them.
BC: What’s that, Nicole?
Nicole: He told me - he told me to wear red tonight for them so I wore red shoes.
Jeff: Nikki Tinkle.
BC: Oh, you wore red shoes for the Buckeyes, oh okay.
Nicole: And a red belt. And red looks good. Just for them.
BC: Yes, between your red shoes and my gray mood, it’s the Buckeye colors.
Nicole: Exactly!
(sound effect saying “yeah right”)
BC: Okay! Heh, I don’t know why you’re making the thumbs down, my friend. I don’t know - I don’t know what this means. Heh heh.
Nicole: I think he has a [unintelligible word].
BC: Are you a - are you like a Bearcats fan or something, what are you? Michigan? Michigan? (crowd boos) You guys haven’t won in like forty-seven hundred years or something. I don’t think you’ve got - have you guys won since Bo Schembechler was coach? Huh? Don’t fuck with me on sports, okay? Now of course, wasn’t Woody Hayes the coach here? Is that a yes or a no? Woody Hayes is the guy that punched out the kid when he was running, right? That’s the kind of coaching I like. Just beat this kid up, wasn’t doing what he wanted. No, you don’t - you don’t, you’re from California....
Nicole: Man, what if you did that to us?
BC: Well, you live in California now so you’re into all that liberal stuff.
Nicole: What if you just beat the shit out of us when we were on stage?
BC: You’re into like, you’re into like being nice to the kid and “you can do better, come on!”
Nicole: Yeah, I’m a tree hugger, I’m a hippie.
BC: You’re into all that stuff, right? “You can do better, come on. You can be number one. And even if you’re not, you’re still number one!”
Nicole: Positive - Positive Patty.
BC: Yeah, hahahaha, totally. Like to introduce the band to you. On the guitar, Mr. Jeff Schroeder. (Jeff plays a 5 second solo) I’m actually in the mood for a little Randy Rhoads, you got any Randy Rhoads for me? (Jeff plays a 15 second solo)
Nicole: Jeff can do anything.
BC: Yeah! Gettin’ it done, I like it. On the bass, Nicole Fiorentino.
Nicole: Hello...Columbus.
Jeff: Wuh, wuh!
Nicole: I don’t have my hands free.
BC: Can’t you play Iron Man or something?
Nicole: I’d rather not.
Iron Man (tease - Billy plays the riff and Mike joins in)
Nicole: Oh, that’s pretty good. Good job!
BC: Heh. “You did good, that’s great.”
Nicole: You did such a great job, I’m so proud of you.
BC: “Even though you made a mistake, you did so well.” On the drums, Mr. Michael Byrne. (Mike plays a 6 second solo) I thought you were - I thought you were gonna do Over the Mountain. You know, that intro by Ozzy? Who was the drummer?
Jeff: Uh, that would’ve been Lee Kerslake.
BC: Who was it?
Jeff: Lee Kerslake.
BC: Lee Kerslake was the drummer on - on the...
Jeff: Yeah.
BC: ...on the Ozzy albums? You sure it wasn’t...?
Jeff: It wasn’t Tommy Aldridge, did not play on the record.
BC: Really?
Jeff: No.
BC: Huh. My name is Billy...Corgan. Yes. Now, as a special treat tonight, we’d like to play a new new new new song for you. (lackluster audience reaction) Okay, maybe we won’t. (bigger reaction) You can just watch it later on Youtube or something.
Nicole: Never been recorded.
BC: This song was called for a while, Black Sunshine, which is kind of an okay name. But then somebody wrote me some tweet, “Do you know that so-and-so has a song called Black Sunshine?” And then now it’s called The Dream Machine. That sounds more like a Pumpkins title. Oh, by the way, the Mellon Collie reissue is out today, very proud of that. 64 extra songs, that’s not bad, right? I hope you check that out. Thank you so much for coming tonight, we’re really happy to see you, thank you.

BC: Thank you. Alright, alright, thank you. How many old school fans we got here tonight? Mr. Thumbs Down, what’s the problem? Mr. Thumbs Down, I see you, it’s okay, what’s the problem? What’s the problem, do you wanna hear 1979, what do you want? Oh okay! Oh, you’re that fan, okay, sorry, heh heh. You’re the mainstream fan, sorry, I understand why you’re mad now. I’m sorry I don’t have a good head of hair and a bad attitude like you, I’m sorry. Oh wait, we always got this guy, the thumbs down guy. Every city, there’s the thumbs guy, “Ugh, it’s not good enough.” Anyway, how many old school fans we got here tonight? Alriight. How many people seeing the band for the first time? Heh, not a good trend, okay. We’d like to play a song now from the Pisces Iscariot album. A rarely played live song. A song called Plume.
Plume
BC: So thank you so much, before we go, thanks a lot, thanks for coming.
