"Silver Bells" is a popular Christmas song composed by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans and first recorded by Bing Crosby and Carol Richards in 1950. Billy Corgan notably covered it at Cyndi Lauper's annual Home for the Holidays benefit show on December 3, 2016, and again for the December 18, 2021 Madame ZuZu's Christmas Show. He has said it is probably his favorite Christmas song.[1]

Lyrics

Silver bells (silver bells), silver bells (silver bells)
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling (ring-a-ling), hear them ring (hear them ring)
Soon it will be Christmas day
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks dressed in holiday style
In the air, there's a feeling of Christmas
Children laughing, people passing, meeting smile after smile
And on every street corner you'll hear
Silver bells (silver bells), silver bells (silver bells)
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling (ring-a-ling), hear them ring (hear them ring)
Soon it will be Christmas day
Strings of streetlights, even stop lights blink a bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures
Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch, this is Santa's big scene
And above all this bustle, you'll hear
Silver bells (silver bells), silver bells (silver bells)
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling (ring-a-ling), hear them ring (hear them ring)
Soon it will be Christmas day
Soon it will be Christmas day
