Appels + Oranjes

Daphne Descends
Corgan: Thanks. Tonight's the first show of our American tour. Usually when we do an album, we play in America first, so, if I say this is our first show of our American tour, usually it means that we're going to suck, because we haven't been rehearsing, but we've been on tour for 2 months. So... What we're trying to do in America is basically play all of our new record, Adore. So this is the first time we're going to do this song called Annie Dog, and as you see, I have the booklet, because I don't know the words, so... Feel free to sing along.
Annie-Dog
[Girl in crowd yells "I love you, James"] Corgan: James doesn't talk anymore.
Perfect
Corgan: We'd now like to play an old song for you. We'd like to dedicate this song to all of you for coming to our concert tonight, for being supporting us and appreciating all we're trying to do. Thank you very much.
Tonight, Tonight
The Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Corgan: Yeah, we still rock.
Shame
Corgan: Thank you very much. We'd like to do one more song for you. We have limousines to catch.
For Martha
Corgan: Thank you very much. We are the Smashing Pumpkins. God bless you.
Intermission...
Corgan: Hello! [To boy on stage] Want to sing, want to sing? We'd like to take a moment to present the check tonight to the East Bay Children's Agency. Did I say that right? East Bay Agency for Children. We'd like to thank you very much. This is a local organization, on the other side of the bay. [across the bay from the venue] Tonight with your help, we've managed to raise $107,590, so, thank you. D'arcy will now present the check.
Wretzky: We're giving this check to Travis. [to boy] Travis, don't spend it all in one place.
Travis [boy from charity]: I'd like to thank you, thank you on behalf of the East Bay Agency for Children. Thank you.
Lady from charity: And I'd too would like to say thank you to the Smashing Pumpkins and to all of you for supporting us. And did you know that it's Smashing Pumpkins day here. I have, Kelly Castinero from Mayor Willie Brown's office to issue a special proclaimation today.
Kelly Castinero [representative from mayor's office]: Hi, my name's Kelly, I'm here tonight on behalf of Willie Brown to present a proclaimation [crowd boos mention of mayor].
Wretzky: It's for a good cause, don't boo. It's not nice.
Kelly Castinero: OK, I'll just read part of it. Therefore be it resolved that I, Willie L. Brown, Jr., mayor of the city and county of San Francisco, in honour of the Smashing Pumpkins' outstanding contributions to the well-being of our community, do hereby proclaim June 30, 1998 as The Smashing Pumpkins Day! [Crowd cheers]
Corgan: Of course... I'm talking, I'm talking!
Wretzky, to crowd: Hey, you were all booing a second ago! What's this, what is this.
Corgan [Jokingly chastising crowd for booing]: You're going to stay after school tomorrow. You know what this is going to mean, though. It means, that you have to pay us all your taxes, and we now have keys to all your houses.
Iha: And now, are you all ready to dance! To dance, alright!
Corgan: James, I'm going to have to correct you for a moment.
Iha: Not dance?
Corgan: James, it's 1998, we're not about that anymore.
Iha: Oh, OK.
Corgan: It's not 1995 or 1996, it's 1998. You've moved on...
Wretzky: Yeah but, yeah but maybe they want to dance. [Corgan replies unintelligibly] But maybe they want to dance. Do you want to dance?
Iha: Alright, let's dance, one last time!
