Let It Come Down was co-produced with Jim Scott. The album features The Smashing Pumpkins personnel Matt Walker (drums, percussion) and D'arcy Wretzky (harmony vocal on "One and Two"), Eric Remschneider (cello, string arrangement), along with a number of other guests musicians.
 
Let It Come Down sounded more country-ish, shying away from the darker sound of Corgan's songwriting at the time. He said that the quieter tone reflected that his songwriting occurred in hotel rooms during SP tours, and he didn't want to disturb other guests by playing too loudly
