Banter

2008 Intro
Tarantula
> G.L.O.W.
> Kill Your Parents
> Siva
Eye
Mayonaise
BC: Thank you, thank you!
Tonight, Tonight
BC: Thank you very much, thank you.
A Song for a Son
> Superchrist
> Heavy Metal Machine / White Rabbit / White Horse
> Glass’ Theme
BC: Don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid. How y’all doin’ up there, you alright up there? You feelin’ alright up there? Alright. Are we doin’ okay, you (mumbles) Kerry, huh, you alright? You alright over there? “Fine.”
Guy in crowd: [unintelligible]!
BC: Heh heh. Now last night, when we got to this part of the show, I started talking and I think we talked for 20 minutes, heh heh. That won’t happen tonight, we promise. Exactly, cheer that, you don’t wanna hear me talk for 20 minutes. I’ll just complain and...get angry and.... I’ve just got to move on, I’ve just got to move on. Ahem, I’m gettin’ over a cold, so I just have to catch my breath, so excuse me, it’s not very showbiz like, but I have to breathe. So let’s just all, uh...say hello. Hi. Welcome to our show, heh heh. ... Yes. Heh, the answer to every question is yes. Yes. Okay, heh heh. You wanna add anything to this? Ahahahahaha! This is my main man over here, Jeff Schroeder. It’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta do it.
Only Wanna Be With You (tease - Jeff plays 2 notes of the SP version)
BC: Good times. Haha. Uh, like to play a song for you by Ms. Stevie Nicks. Feel free to sing along. You know the words, I believe. Okay.
Landslide (Billy/Jeff acoustic)
BC: Thank you very much, thank you. Yes. Now this next song...I wrote myself. Stevie Nicks was not around...to assist me.
Guy in crowd: Good one, Billy!
BC: Yes, my name is Billy, yes. I actually I--it’s a lie, my name is really William, William Patrick Corgan. I started this band out with a lie and it’s just one lie ever since. I love to lie. Makes me feel good. This song was written about St. Louis. I, uh...I was destitute and homeless, the band had just started, our first album wasn’t doing so well and, uh...the alternative revolution was kicking in and I found myself sitting underneath the Arch about six a.m. And I looked up at the Arch and I thought, “Hmm, how can I get out of this mess?” and this song came to me, so thank you St. Louis.
Disarm (acoustic)
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
> Soma
Cherub Rock (abandoned after one time through the riff - Billy is in the wrong key)
BC: Oops. That’s okay, we’ll just skip that one. That’s the rule, if I make a mistake, we just move on to the next song. ‘Cause I never make a mistake, so if we make a mistake, that means we have to move on. Or--or option B, we could play the cocktail version.
Cherub Rock (tease - lounge version)
BC: Sounds amazingly like Blind Melon. Never noticed that before. Haha. Okay, that’s the end of the show, thank you very much. You’ve been amazing to play in front of. Your undying support moves me. Heh heh.
Cherub Rock
> Zero
> Bodies
Gossamer
As Rome Burns (horn fanfare only)
> The Sounds of Silence
> Li’l Red Riding Hood / Für Elise
(BC over ending: Don't be afraid of the dark.)
